NMA WORLD MINI GRAND PRIX 2008 INFORMATION

If you have pre-entered it will not be necessary to check in when you arrive at the Park. Please review this info sheet as it pertains to access to the facility.

The park is located in North Las Vegas across from Nellis Air Force Base. Take I-15 to Craig Rd. Go East on Craig Rd. approximately 2 miles to Las Vegas Blvd. Turn left and go 2 miles to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway facility and proceed to Gate 7. A prepark area at Gate 7 will be available starting on Saturday April 12^th at 8:00 a.m. If you arrive prior to April 12^th, you must park ELSEWHERE until prepark area is available.

On Monday morning, April 14, the park gates will open at 8am and close at midnight. This will allow those who are camping to get settled in early. Also, post entries will be taken between 9am and 5pm only.

On Tuesday morning, gates will open at 6am and close at midnight. There will be a rider’s meeting at 8am followed by practice at approximately 9am until conclusion. The Tuesday practice will be for all classes (including P.Wees) and will be the only practice session for the event. A practice schedule will be posted on Monday afternoon. No tech inspection will be required. The current rules indicate all the requirements of both cycle & rider. If you have entered the stock class and wish to have your bike evaluated, you may do so. NMA Officials will check your stock bike for infringements of the rules. The bikes may be checked on Tuesday morning until 11am only. Racing will begin on Wednesday at 7am. The race schedule will be posted on the line up board at 1:00pm Tuesday.

On Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, the park gates will open at 6am and racing will begin each day at 7am per the posted schedule of events.

NUMBERS & NUMBER PLATE BACKGROUNDS. All numbers must be at least 5” high. The numbers must be standard, block style lettering (No Outlines) – solid black on solid white backgrounds or solid white on solid black backgrounds. No scroll type, wide illegible numbers will be allowed. Also not allowed are numbers overlapping numbers and numbers which are outlines only. Numbers must be all one size and placed straight across all three number plates. Numbers only on number plates – do not add stickers, decals, etc. Any number plates which the Officials find to be non-readable must be corrected before that machine is allowed to race.

NOTE RE 2 STROKES: 125 MAX IN 250 CLASS. 250 MAX IN THE 450 CLASS. Note RE: 4 Strokes: 250 4 strokes in the 250 class and 450 4 strokes in the 450 class. 250 4 STROKES NOT ALLOWED IN REG. 450 4 STROKE CLASSES. NOTE RE SUPER MINI - NO BIG WHEELS (SUPER MINI) ALLOWED IN ANY 85cc AGE CLASSES OR OPEN CLASS. YOU MUST RACE WITH THE NMA NUMBER ASSIGNED TO YOU IN ALL CLASSES IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR SCORING, TROPHIES, POINTS, ETC.

TRANSPONDERS WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS YEAR’S EVENT

BIKE SAFETY: No parts are allowed to be taped or wired to the bike. Kickstands must be removed. Your bike may be evaluated by an NMA Official and not be allowed to race if it is not safe and in proper working order.

GATE FEES: All persons (racers, family members and spectators) who enter the park on Monday or Tuesday must purchase a six-day ticket/wristband for $70.00 per person. On Wednesday, all persons entering the park must purchase a five-day ticket/wristband which will be sold for $60.00. On Thursday, all persons entering the park must purchase a four-day ticket/wristband which will be sold for $50.00. On Friday, all persons entering the park must purchase a three-day ticket/wristband which will be sold for $45.00. On Saturday all persons entering the park may purchase a one-day ticket for $15.00 and on Sunday, all persons entering the park may purchase a one-day ticket for $15.00.

CAMPING FEES: will be $15.00 per night, per vehicle beginning Monday (fee includes towed trailer). There are no electrical hookups at this park. All gate and camping fees must be paid in cash. Personal checks will not be accepted. No vehicle, car, truck or motor home will be allowed in the park or pit area without a camping sticker. All extra or 2^nd vehicles such as rental cars must park in the designated 2^nd vehicle area. This is necessary to avoid over-crowding in the pits as per instructions from the Fire Dept. in the interest of safety. DO NOT PARK ON BLACK COATED ROADS IN THE TRACK PIT AREA.

VERY IMPORTANT PARK RULE: Absolutely NO PIT RIDING will be allowed on anything inside the entire park facility. This includes Mopeds, Street Bikes, Mules & Golf Carts. This NO PIT RIDING rule will be enforced BEFORE and DURING the World Mini Grand Prix Event. The park reserves the right to impound the vehicle or remove the persons from the premises who violate this rule. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE TRACK WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR PRACTICE ON THE WEEKDAYS PRECEDING THE WORLD MINI GRAND PRIX EVENT.

ENTRY CANCELLATIONS: The final day for canceling PRE-ENTRIES is Monday, April 7. NO REFUNDS ON POST ENTRIES. You must call the NMA office at 951-587-9805 to cancel. NO EXCEPTIONS ON THIS RULE. Do not call the Las Vegas Motor Speedway or any persons in Las Vegas. The only number to call is the NMA office at 951-587-9805 between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday. The NMA main office will be closed from April 7 to April 30 so if you need to cancel, be sure to call the main office by April 7^th.

NOTE: All trophies will be given out after all races (including run-offs) are completed on Sunday. Trophies will be awarded to the top ten in final run-off events. In classes with no run-offs, trophies will be awarded to 30% of riders who raced in that class with a maximum of ten trophies awarded in any one class.

Pro payback will be as follows: Each of the 5 pro classes – 250 Stock and Mod, 450 Stock and Mod, Plus 30A and Plus 40A will receive $1,000 (1^st is $500.00, 2^nd is $200.00, 3^rd is $150.00, 4^th is $100.00 and 5^th is $50.00). The total purse is $6,000 based on ten riders per class. If less than ten riders in a class, payback will be 70% of entries received for that class (based on mail entry fee.)
